A Christmas Carol (1951)
There have been a ton of different versions of this Christmas classic, but the 1951 version, starring Alastair Sim, is by far the best. Alastair Sim plays Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserable old man who has absolutely no Christmas spirit. On Christmas Eve, Ebenezer is visited by three ghosts (the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future), who remind him of why it's important to be around the people you love during the holiday season.
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989)
If you've never seen a National Lampoon movie, it's about time you did. The Griswalds are getting ready for Christmas and that means lots of laughs. Clark Griswald wants to give his family the best Christmas ever, but when things start to go wrong, it ends up being pretty horrible. This flick was made in the 80s, so you'll probably also get a kick out of all the funny outfits everyone's wearing!
Home Alone (1990)
Ahhhhhhhhh! The McCallister's are headed for France for Christmas in this holiday classic. But, they accidentally leave their eight year-old son Kevin behind at home! So, when a couple of bone-headed burglars try to break into the McCallister house, Kevin launches into action and teaches them a lesson or two about messing with other people's stuff.
The Santa Clause (1994)
Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) is a workaholic who kind of lacks the Christmas spirit - that is, until Santa falls off his roof on Christmas Eve and dies. His son convinces him to try on Santa's suit, but what he doesn't realize is that by trying on Santa's signature suit, he automatically becomes the new Santa! Elf (2003)
As a baby, Buddy (Will Ferrell) accidentally climbs into Santa's sack and gets taken back to the North Pole. Because he was an orphan, Santa and the elves decide to raise him as an elf, never telling him that he's actually human. But one day, Buddy overhears some elves making fun of him for not cluing in that he's not an elf. So, Buddy heads off to New York City to find his real dad - in his head-to-toe elf costume. It's Will Ferrell dressed in an elf's costume - you know it's going to be funny.
