Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis battle it out with miffed neighbors and mischievous kids, including Erik Per Sullivan (Dewey from Malcolm in the Middle), when they decide to forget the festivities and fruitcake in Christmas With the Kranks, based on John Grisham's best-selling novel, Skipping Christmas.
Christmas With the Kranks - The Christmas Cold Shoulder
After joyfully celebrating Christmas all their lives, Luther and Nora Krank face a lonely holiday without their daughter, Blair (played by Julie Gonzalo), who has joined the Peace Corps and is unable to come home for Christmas. So, Luther decides to skip Christmas and take off to the sunny Caribbeans on a luxurious cruise with his wife. However, things turn crazy when Blair decides to come home at the last minute. Luther and Nora only have a few hours to put up all the festive decorations, cook up a holiday storm and host a spectacular Christmas Eve bash!Christmas With the Kranks - Holiday Chuckles
Luther goes to extremes to prepare for his Caribbean vacation, from getting Botox injections to tanning his pasty white bod. One of the funniest scenes in the movie is when Nora squeezes into a teeny tiny bikini, and Luther dons a pair of Speedos! Another laughable moment is when Luther is scheming to take down his merry neighbors by icing down his walkway - as well as the neighborhood cat.Christmas With the Kranks - DVD Features

The Kranks' plan to trade in the snow for some holiday fun in the sun is so over the top that you'll be rolling your eyes more often than you'll be laughing.Christmas With the Kranks Rating
