The Waiting Game

Elliot, Sedgewick and George (Larry the Cucumber, Mr. Lunt and Pa Grape) are waiters at the Pieces of Ate Dinner Theater who dream of one day starring in the theater's big pirate ship production. The only problem, and it's a big one, is that Elliot is really shy, Sedgewick is super lazy, and George has zero self-confidence. They're called The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything, after all.

Heroes?

Everything changes in an instant when a strange ball called a Helpseeker drops out of the sky. The Helpseeker is looking for present-day heroes to take back into the past and the next thing the wanna-be pirates know, they're in the 17th century and in a little hot water. Princess Eloise needs their help to rescue her brother Alexander from their evil Uncle or else he'll take over the kingdom!

Doing Something Instead of Nothing

The Pirates Who Don't Do Dnything are forced to face their fears and become heroes - whether they like it or not - in order to save the kingdom. Along the way they come face-to-face with a mechanical dragon, a family of giant rock monsters and a bunch of tiny orange cannibals. Will The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything be able to do something for once and save the day? You'll have to watch to find out.

Bottom Line

The Veggie Tales are unique to say the least, and their stories are funny, but still teach a good life lesson by the end. Fans of the series will notice that while the original show is based on Christian values, there is no obvious religious theme to this particular movie. You shouldn't be disappointed, however. You'll still find a great message about overcoming adversity, facing your fears, and getting up and doing something productive!
