Lenny Kravitz had a thing for music right away and by age 10 had dragged his parents to see Sarah Vaughan, James Brown and the Jackson 5. In 1974 the family moved to LA and Lenny Kravitz snagged a spot in the California Boys Choir. Lenny Kravitz also started teaching himself to play the guitar, piano, bass and the drums.
