So how was your Valentine's Day? Did you do somethin' super romantic with your BF/GF, or hang with friends? I went out with Finn, but we both think this "holiday" is totally over-rated, so we kept it low-key.
Finn planned a fun date for us, especially after that rough patch we went through a few weeks ago. We went for burgers at my fave restaurant and then watched a movie. Neither of us are into those lovey-dovey flicks, so we checked out The Spiderwick Chronicles, which was so good! If you guys haven't seen it yet, then head on over to the theater right now! I loved the movie so much that I'm gonna pick up the book series this weekend!
Instead of buying expensive gifts, we decided to make something thoughtful for each other. Finn has a major case of sweet tooth-itis, so I baked him a batch of double chocolate cupcakes with red icing, and he put together a list of my all-time fave songs and burned 'em onto a CD for me. Don't you think stuff like that is way better than paying hundreds of dollars for red roses and expensive chocolates?
Anyway, that's about it for now. I'm still workin' through my dating insecurities, but things are going pretty well these days. Keep on writin' me with all of your great advice!
