This may not be Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. But right now Amy has her very own clone war going on as she survives lightning, the first day of school and creepy mental powers.

Author: Marilyn Kaye

It's another weird day for 13 year-old Amy 'lightning rod' Candler. She's a genetically engineered clone with more brains, brawn and agility than anyone else her age. She also seems to attract lightning cuz she's hanging at the beach with her friends when KAZAM! She's blasted by a bolt from the blue. The next thing she knows, she's in the hospital with a headache and the power to read minds and see the future.

Whoa... not bad. How can I get my own super-power lightning bolt? Not so fast. Amy finds out that knowing what everyone is thinking and what's going to happen isn't all that and a bag of chips. Some people have really ugly thoughts, like a conspiracy to poison the kidz at her school or a plan to take advantage of her friend. And seeing the future is like finding out what you get for Christmas before you open the packages. It blows chunks cuz lots of bad stuff happens that you can't stop.

Can Amy deal with her new powers? Could anyone? Can she get rid of them?

Dreamcrusher is the best Replica story so far. It lets you peek into the brains of the kidz and teachers at Amy's school and see all kinds of weird stuff going on.
