Replica 18 :: Return of the Perfect Girls Book Review

Oh no! The organization has trapped Amy in a Survivor rip-off! Amy and her sisters are forced to compete against the Andy clones by Cindy Crawford. Amys only hope is an old friend, or is he?

Author: Marilyn Kaye

Amy, the genetically superior clone heroine of the Replica stories, is in deep trouble this time. An invitation to a date with her new boyfriend goes horribly wrong and traps her on an island run by the organization. Then Marilyn Kaye goes nuts and it turns into an episode of Survivor.

Amys and Andys

The clones are divvied into two tribes, the Amys and the Andys. They compete for food, vote members off and do the same challenges you've seen on Survivor - except nobody has to eat a bug. Which sucks because I would've loved it if someone had forced that snotty Aimee Evans to eat a bug. She is SUCH a brat.

The Bottom Line

I don't know what Marilyn Kaye was thinking when she wrote this story; it's a total Survivor rip-off. But once you ignore how cheesy it is, (Cindy Crawford the clone?!) it's really good. The clones look alike but they have a lot of character. The bad guys are really creepy. Amy runs into an old friend she thought was dead and there's plenty of action. It's the best Replica story I've read so far, if the beginning and end weren't so dumb it would've earned a 5 out of 5.
