Survivor 4 Marquesas - Episode 9

Survivor Marquesas, Episode 9 is about strong tribal bonds, mistrust and never-before-seen challenges. Sean's secured a safe position in the tribe with Neleh, Pappy, Vecepia and Kathy while Robert and Tammy's only allies are each other. Zoe, the fishing boat captain, is running her boat alone.

Soliantu:

Sean Rector, Vecepia Towery, Neleh Dennis, Paschal English, Kathy Vavrick-O'Brien, Tammy Leitner, Zoe Zanidakis and Robert DeCanio.

Reward Challenge:

The tribe is randomly split into teams of two which are made up of Sean and Paschal, Tammy and Vecepia, Kathy and Robert and Neleh and Zoe. The object of the Challenge is to fill a three-foot tall bamboo shoot with coconut juice. They can either gather coconuts that are scattered along the shore or swim out to collect a bundle of anchored coconuts. Then they have to crack the coconuts open on rocks and drain the juice into the shoot. Not all the coconuts had juice in them so it was all about the luck of the draw. The first team to fill their shoot, wins the Reward - a helicopter ride over the Marquesas Islands, a horseback ride and an authentic Marquesan feast complete with dancing and drumming. Sean and Paschal, an unlikely couple to begin with, win with the help of a really big coconut.

Immunity Challenge:

The challenge for Immunity is all about balance and coordination. The Challenge has tribe members going head-to-head in a ring of sand to see who can last longer on stilts. Round one paired Vecepia against Robert, Kathy against Paschal, Tammy against Neleh and Sean against Zoe. With the exception of Tammy it came down to luck between the pairs. Tammy seemed like she'd stepped out of a circus ring and into the ring of sand - she was a natural. She smoked everyone and walked away with Immunity - again.

High Points:

The exchange of (cough) love between Zoe and Tammy. Tammy gets an earful when she tries to talk to Zoe. "You want me to tell you, Tammy? From the get-go I didn't like you, I really didn't dig you at all," Zoe said. Then she disclosed, "I am distancing myself from Tammy at this point. I am here to win."

Sean and Paschal rolling around together on the sand like a couple in love after winning the Reward Challenge.

Low Points:

Zoe making necklaces for the tribe to try and win friendships (instead of votes.) Tammy and Robert saw right through this faker but Neleh was sucked in - hook, line and sinker.

At Tribal Council, Zoe Zanidakis was sent packing. Did you cheer too?

Survivor Saying of the Week:

"It was fun watching everybody practice on the stilts because they sucked!" Tammy, laughing at her tribe members learning to walk on stilts before the Immunity Challenge.
