FIFA 10, Astro Boy, and Bakugan

Oct 16, 2009

Keep up-to-date with all the latest video game releases! Kidzworld has all the latest games to keep watch for. This week, we preview FIFA 10, Astro Boy, and Bakugan: Battle Brawlers!

FIFA 10

Out of all EA Sports franchises, FIFA has been the best at consistently raising the bar every year. Soccer (or football) fans will immediately notice the increase in realism over last year's model, as players will actively cut off passes, jostle for the ball, and squeeze in-between two opponents. Thousands of small changes like this make the game realistically fluid and crazy to watch if you've been used to old soccer games of the past. Defenders will actually hustle when they should, and they're smarter about not leaving gaping holes in the field uncovered, and goalies can get back up after one save to stop another shot much more realistically. Every single play is just a touch more realistic, and it all adds up to make the game so much more like real soccer.

Astro Boy

To celebrate the release of the new movie, we get the first new Astro Boy game in five years! This time, Astro Boy's in a classic-style 2D platformer with 3D graphics (think LittleBigPlanet, sort of) and he gets to use all his abilities to stop the robot army of President Stone. Astro Boy's weapons include finger lasers, an arm cannon, drill attacks, and, uh, well, butt machine guns, no kidding. Fight the robot army alone or with a friend in 2-player co-op, and you can unlock concept art and new looks for Astro Boy.

Bakugan: Battle Brawlers

The famous anime series and game is coming to the DS, Wii, PS2, PS3, and Xbox 360 on the 20th. The game teaches new players how it works, but really, if you're a fan, you've basically got it down. The video game adds some new twists to the regular game formula, as you control your Bakugan and try to get the best G-score to win. The game has a new storyline covering Dan and his quest to save Vestroia and Earth, but you can also just play in the arena with your friends, even with your own created Battle Brawlers! The game includes four unique characters and two totally new, never-before-seen Bakugan!
