2010 MuchMusic Video Awards Preview
We're so excited for the upcoming 2010 MuchMusic Video Awards coming up on June 20th! It's one of the best awards shows around in our opinion because it's all about you! It's not held in a stuffy auditorium, tickets are FREE and fans get to vote online for their fave Wildcard Nominees. And the best part is that it's just a huge street party for those lucky enough to live in Toronto. We're tempted to pack up our bags and set up a tent at MuchMusic headquarters on 299 Queen Street East just for this event! The entire awards show and all the performances are happening streetside and is designed to put fans as close to their favourite performers and celebrities as possible. Last year the Jonas Brothers hosted the show and you imagine how loud and crazy it all got!
This year's show!
MuchMusic has JUST announced this week that 17-year-old Miley Cyrus will be co-hosting the show. If that isn't enough to whip us all into an excited frenzy - [kwlink 24025]Justin Bieber and Katy Perry are the first two performances confirmed for the show!! This will be Justin Bieber's first performance at the MuchMusic Video Awards and comes two months before his concert at Toronto's Air Canada Centre! Past performances include Lady Gaga, Jonas Brothers, Avril Lavigne, Black Eyed Peas, Kelly Clarkson, Kanye West, The Killers and Fergie. All out in the open on the streets of Toronto!
Fans get to vote for nominees!
As always, MuchMusic is making the fans their priority and you get to vote for UR FAVE WILDCARD nominees in the categories of Ur Fave New Artist/Group, Ur Fave Video and Ur Fave International Video. It's as easy as logging onto the MuchMusic website and voting by May 17th.The full list of nominees will be released on May 18th. Other award categories include Best Pop Video, Best Rap Video, Best Rock Video and loads of others!

How amazing that tickets to the MuchMusic Video Awards 2010 are FREE and open to the public? All that you need to do is keep logging on to the MuchMusic website and also follow them on Twitter @MuchMusic and on Facebook for the announcement on how to get your exclusive and free wristbands which will get you into the show. Last year kids and teens camped out for up to three days before the wristbands became available at MuchMusic headquarters! Keep your ears open also for any competitions to win tickets! We'll see you in the line-up, it's definitely worth the wait!
