2010 Juno Awards Recap: Justin Bieber (Video!)

Justin Bieber may not have won in any of the three categories he was nominated in at the 2010 Juno Awards, but he still got major props from The Barenaked Ladies, Drake and rapper K’Naan!

No Luck for Justin

Justin was nominated in three separate categories for this year’s awards: Album of the Year, Best Pop Album and Best New Artist. Unfortunately, Michael Buble took the prize in the first two categories, while rapper Drake snagged the third one.

Nikki Yanofsky Does NOT Have a Crush on Justin Bieber

Despite swirling rumors that 16-year-old singer Nikki Yanofsky, who recently broke up with her boyfriend, has a crush on fellow musical talent Justin, she set the record straight when she talked to the media from the 2010 Juno Awards:

“Nooooooooo way," squealed the singer with a laugh. “I had a boyfriend, it didn’t work out and that’s all good – right now, I’m focusing on my career.”

“Instruction in world history in the so-called high schools is even today in a very sorry condition. Few teachers understand that the study of history can never be to learn historical dates and events by heart and recite them by rote; that what matters is not whether the child knows exactly when this battle or that was fought, when a general was born, or even when a monarch (usually a very insignificant one) came into the crown of his forefathers. No, by the living God, this is very unimportant. To 'learn' history means to seek and find the forces which are the causes leading to those effects which we subsequently perceive as historical events.”
