Logan Lerman Bio

Birthdate:: January 19, 1992
Birthplace: Beverly Hills, California

You know Logan Lerman as Percy Jackson, but this talented young actor does a lot more than battle Olympic-sized monsters. Find out what Logan’s like offscreen in Kidzworld’s bio!

Logan Lerman has been quietly building an impressive acting resume for the past decade with roles in Riding in Cars with Boys, The Butterfly Effect and What Women Want. Logan made his film debut playing one of the children of Mel Gibson’s character in the 2000 movie, The Patriot.

Percy Jackson And Hoot

Logan earned a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film by a Leading Young Actor for his performance in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief and ruffled feathers with his role in Hoot, the 2006 movie about a group of kids trying to save a burrowing owl habitat from destruction. Logan also got the chance to work alongside Jim Carrey in a horror movie called The Number 23.

Working With Jim Carrey

“I heard they were making this [kwlink 2820Jim Carrey film[/kwlink], The Number 23, and I thought, 'I really want to be part of this. Jim Carrey is one of my favorite actors and I want to learn from him, I’m obsessed with Eternal Sunshine [of the Spotless Mind], and I really want to see how he does his job.' And I got the role and he found out that I was a huge fan of his. I’m not sure he knows how much it meant to me to sit down and talk to him or even watch him do a scene, but he was definitely the person who impacted me the most.”

What's Next For Logan Lerman?

Logan will play d’Artagnan in Paul W.S. Anderson’s 3D film version of The Three Musketeers. Filming starts this summer and the swashbuckling adventure movie should be out by April 2011. Also on deck for Logan is playing Charlie in the movie adaptation of Stephen Chbosky’s novel The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Logan stars alongside Emma Watson in the story about a shy, unpopular teen who chronicles his life by writing letter to an anonymous person.
