Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief

Keep up-to-date with all the latest video game releases! Kidzworld has all the latest games to keep watch for. This week, we preview Percy Jackson & the Olympians, Yu-Gi-Oh World Championship 2010, and Chime!

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief

Rick Riordan's famous series of Percy Jackson books are being made into movies! And those movies are being made into games! Better yet, this DS game is a tactical RPG! Percy Jackson goes along with his friends Annabeth and Grover across America in a world where the gods of Mount Olympus like Zeus and Poseidon are in control. You have to combine the abilities of Percy and his friends to help them prove Percy's innocence and prevent a war among the gods. Exploring levels reveals hidden rewards, and special abilities and upgrades become available for your characters as they level up.

Yu-Gi-Oh World Championship 2010

The latest Yu-Gi-Oh title for the DS comes out on February 9th, and it's called Yu-Gi-Oh World Championship 2010: Reverse of Arcadia. The game's storyline adds to the story of the Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's TV show, and free duel mode lets you take on Jack, Yusei, or any of twenty different new characters. The game has an astounding 3,200 cards you can use, and even three actual unique cards including in the game box!

Chime is a rhythm puzzle game made entirely for charity. That's awesome enough all on its own, but there's plenty of game here to love as well. If you took Tetris and a music synthesizer like KORG DS-10 and smashed them together, this might be what you'd get. You move blocks around to form squares, and each square plays a different music track, allowing you to customize the music you're listening to. It's only 400 MS in cost, and the music is good enough to listen to that you'll want to listen to it in Free Play Mode after you've beaten the game.

What Video Games are Dropping This Week?

  • February 9th - Yu-Gi-Oh World Championship for DS
  • February 9th - Data East Arcade Classics for Wii
  • February 9th - Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief for DS

This is a topic about developers The only reason I wanted to post this is because I wanted to tell people that I am creating a game called Legacy Of Swords and a book called Legacy Of Swords, this will probably be for developers to chat and ask about things, as there is no separate chat rooms.
