Ivy the Kiwi?, Grease, and Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar

Aug 18, 2010

Keep up-to-date with all the latest video game releases! Kidzworld has all the latest games to keep watch for. This week, we preview Ivy the Kiwi?, Grease, and Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar!

Ivy the Kiwi?

The creator of Sonic the Hedgehog Yuji Naka has a new fast-paced action platformer for the Wii and DS this week, called "Ivy the Kiwi?". Ivy is a baby bird (maybe a Kiwi, maybe not?) who lost her mama and needs the player's help on her big journey. Ivy simply moves right across the screen as you draw the vines that will carry her across the level, swinging across perilous gaps as the game seems faster and faster. It won't be easy, but thankfully on the Wii up to four players can collaborate on drawing vines at the same time. I just hope the ending tells you if Ivy's a Kiwi or not.

Grease: The Official Video Game

It may have been 30 years since the Grease movie came out, and even longer since the musical, but it's finally getting a video game adaptation this week for the Wii and DS. On the Wii, you can use two USB microphones and Wii Balance Boards to sing and dance your way through Rydell High. You get to do the famous dances, sing the big songs ("You're the One That I Want," "Greased Lightnin") and play through the story of the movie with friends.

Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar

The classic farming RPG series Harvest Moon is taking a slightly different turn this time around with Grand Bazaar for the Nintendo DS. This game is set in Zephyr Town, where an age-old bazaar has really hit the dumps lately, and it just can't seem to attract customers. You get to change that, not just by farming, but raising animals and selling your products at your very own store! A multiplayer mode even lets you invite your friends over to your farm, expanding the gameplay.

I have also played video games my entire life. But for the gory and more intense video games I've been judged on my skills because I'ma girl. I usually win as well even when they don't "take it easy" on me.  :p :)
