Totally Tote Bags

The perfect bag can be hard to find. Not only do we want our bags to be stylish but we would love it if they went with all of our outfits and fit a variety of different items that we lug around on a daily basis. Sometimes a backpack is too big, a purse is too little and a duffle bag is just overdoing it. A tote bag is the perfect solution for times when you want to carry books, magazines, your favorite wallet, a pair of sneakers or anything in between - even your laptop sleeve! Not only is it easy to just throw over your shoulder on your way out the door, it’s square shape and long handles makes it ideal for toting just about anything around town!

This season, tote bags are getting even more creative with designs! From sequins to owl prints, hearts and leopard print, it’s almost tempting to get a tote for every occasion and day of the week! If you use a big tote bag to carry around your school books, it’s a good idea to also put things like keys, a buspass, money and your phone in a separate little pouch that fits inside your tote bag so you don’t end up constantly searching for them at the bottom of your big tote! A military style tote bag, like the one below from American Eagle is perfect for the military trend that’s so big this fall! Pair it with a cute duffle coat and you’re set! A tote bag can also be a lighter alternative to carrying a backpack on days where you don’t have a lot of textbooks to carry around! It can also double as a gym bag on days that your gym gear just won’t fit into your backpack! On weekends, leave your books at home and use your tote bag as a purse.
