Yu-Gi-Oh! is all over TV. You can watch the adventures of Yugi Mutou and his friends as they duel against Kaiba, Pegasus and other Duel Monster duelists several times a week. That is, if you can handle annoying commercials and missing your fave scenes cuz your little brother grabbed the remote and turned on Teletubbies. Not anymore thanks to the Yu-Gi-Oh! DVDs!

Now you can score Yu-Gi-Oh! on DVD and watch Yugi smack Kaiba around, like the twit he is, anytime you want. With the Yu-Gi-Oh! Volume 1 - The Heart of the Cards DVD, from 4Kids Entertainment, you can watch Yugi Mutou teach his friends the value of courage, and duel whenever you want.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! Volume 1 - The Heart of the Cards DVD is pretty sweet. The Yu-Gi-Oh! episodes look and sound great - you can even listen to it in Spanish, with or without subtitles. You get the first three episodes of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TV show on the DVD, from Yugi getting his grandpa's deck, right up to the heroes arriving at the Duelists Kingdom.

The DVD's extras include a music video, some info on a few cards, a couple of bios and some ads for more Yu-Gi-Oh!/Fox

Box/Dragonball Z stuff. It would have been nice to see more extras like scenes of the monsters in action, rather than just still pictures, but it's still a good deal.

If you're a Yu-Gi-Oh! fan, this DVD is a wicked way to add to your collection of Yu-Gi-Oh! stuff. If you aren't a huge fan, then it's a great way to start watching. You'll get all the basics of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TV show on one DVD and, even though the extras are a bit slim, it'll get you eager to watch the rest of the series.

Whether you're a fan or not, keep your peepers peeled for Yu-Gi-Oh! Volume 2 - Into the Hornets Nest DVD with more episodes for you. Also, due out in November 2002 are the Yu-Gi-Oh! Volume 3 - Attack From the Deep and Yu-Gi-Oh! Volume 4 - Give up the Ghost DVDs - they'll really help complete your Yu-Gi-Oh! collection!
