Fall TV Preview: Hart of Dixie

Aug 08, 2011

Rachel Bilson returns to TV this fall in the new series Hart of Dixie, which sends her down south to Alabama. Read all about the show and its stars in Kidzworld’s fall TV preview!

Alabama Bound

Hart of Dixie centers around main character Zoe Hart (Rachel Bilson), a new doctor who recently graduated from med school in New York. With a lack of jobs available in NYC, Zoe heads down to Alabama to work at a small private practice. She soon discovers that living down South may not be as fun as she thought. Zoe immediately causes trouble with Lemon (Jamie King), a Southern belle who is engaged to one of Zoe’s only allies in town, George (Scott Porter). With Lemon against her and George on her side Zoe must make friends with her attractive neighbor Wade (Wilson Bethel) and former football star Lavon (Cress Williams) if she is going to survive life in the Deep South. Expect strong accents, stunning dresses and a whole lot of romance.

Starring…

Rachel Bilson stars as Zoe Hart, a cardio-thoracic surgeon who comes from a family of doctors. Even though she was raised in New York, Zoe accepts a position down South but soon finds herself out of place. This is Rachel Bilson’s largest television role since playing Summer Roberts on The O.C.

Scott Porter plays George Tucker, an Alabama resident who immediately takes a liking to Zoe. Unfortunately, George is engaged to Lemon, the daughter of the city’s other doctor, and Zoe’s rival. But, this doesn’t stop George and Zoe. Scott Porter has recently starred in Friday Night Lights and the CBC drama The Good Wife. He has also appeared in the movies Prom Night, The Good Guy and Dear John.

Model and actress Jamie King is Rachel Bilson’s arch nemesis, Lemon Breeland. Lemon is the daughter of Zoe’s rival and the only other doctor in town. She is also engaged to George. Jamie King acted in Pearl Harbor and Sin City and has appeared in ads for Abercrombie and Chanel.

I thought it'd be cool for all the anime fans if there was a forum where we could find friends who like the anime we do :) Personally I really need some more friends who like what I do. Maybe you'll find someone who shares your love for something really obscure! Including manga too. To start off here are some favorites of mine: (just because one isn't here doesn't mean I might not like it too so everyone please share yours!) Black Butler D. Gray-Man No.6 Yu-Gi-Oh Seraph of the End Puella Magi Madoka Magica Horimiya Kekkai Sensen Free! Kyoukai no Kanata Tamako Market (especially its movie!!) My Little Monster Mekakucity Actors (and that whole music project that it's based on) Toradora! haven't finished reading/watching but like: (if you like it I'll make it a priority :)) Akagami no Shirayuki-hime Pandora Hearts Kyou Kara Maou Kuroko no Basket Noragami Kiznaiver  Bungou Stray Dogs The World Is Still Beautiful Ajin Haikyuu!! Aldnoah.Zero Princess Tutu That's all I could think of for now! What are yours? Note: No bashing other people's faves! Have debates/flame wars elsewhere. (Especially about Sword Art Online. Let's not even touch that)

Which channel do you think as of today is the best channel for kids today on cable. I would probably go with Disney XD. It's just as good as it was back in 2009 in my opinion and it has a great selection of shows. What do you think is the definitive channel for kids in 2016?
