Fashion Police: 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards

Jan 16, 2012

Now that everyone has taken their awards home from last night’s 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards, it’s time to look at the real winners and losers, on the red carpet that is! Kidzworld takes a look at celebs dressed to impress, from style stunners to full-on fashion flops!

Style Winners

Sofia VergaraSofia Vergara was a midnight blue bombeshell at the awards

Bronzed Beauty Sofia Vergara (from Modern Family) stole the spotlight in this midnight blue strapless Vera Wang evening gown.

Emma StoneMiss Maroon: Emma Stone looks sweet and understated

Emma Stone, whose film the The Help was nominated for Best Picture, looked chic and unique in this two-toned maroon dress by Lanvin. Two-toned was a big style theme at this year’s awards, and Emma pulled it off perfectly.

Shailene WoodleyWonderful in White: We love Shailene Woodley's classic gown

We’re sure Shailene Woodley’s glad she chose this sweet, soft and simple strapless evening dress by Marchesa since all eyes were on her at the awards. Her movie The Descendants won Best Picture and she also got a nod for Best Supporting Actress (which went to The Help’s Octavia Spencer).

Style Losers

Sarah Michelle GellarTie Dye Terrible! Sarah Michelle Gellar looks like she brought the beach to the red carpet.

Sarah Michelle Gellar did not look so stellar in this strapless blue and white gown. In fact, it looks a little like a tie-dye project gone awry, but we’ll have to cut her some slack since the actress says she let her two-year-old daughter pick it!

Jessica BielRetro but not ravishing, Jessica Biel needs to stay out of her grandmother's closet!

At first glance presenter Jessica Biel’s dress seems like a throwback to a bygone era of Hollywood style. But some styles are meant to stay gone, and this grandma’s nightgown/turn of the century wedding dress disaster is a good example. Sorry Jessica!

Kelly OsbourneUFO Unfortunate: Kelly looks a bit otherwordly in this dress

The spaceship has landed. Or so you might think when you catch a glimpse of Kelly Osbourne’s ensemble. Although the Zac Posen dress is beautiful cobalt blue, Kelly’s slicked back peroxide hair and larger-than-life shoulder pads make her look a little out of this world (not in the good way).

Best Dressed Duo

Brad and AngelinaClassic Couple: Brad and Angelina brought back Old Hollywood charm

As usual, it was hard to take your eyes off of dynamic duo Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Angelina’s Versace dress was stunningly "old Hollywood" in white silk (with a daring splash of red!). Not to mention Brad's terrific tux.

On The Fence

Tilda SwintonOdd but interesting, actress Tilda Swinton pulls off a tux and a dress!

British actress Tilda Swinton wore this striking and strange suit turned dress in light blue, and even though it isn’t exactly a classic we’d say...it works!

Who Needs a Fashion Police Ticket?

  • P!nk's outfit is ridiculous!
  • Alicia deserves a ticket for all that glitter!
  • They both deserve to be arrested.
  • Neither deserve to be arrested - they're both stylin'.

Hii, i want to give advice to all of you about this subject. first of all, always trust your BFF. why?, it's because she/he is the one who makes you feel like a family and always be there with you. Second, always remember your BFF where ever you are. i got this idea from my bff whose not n the same school with me. 8 February was her birthday while i said happy birthday to her 2 day later (i know i'm the worst). i literally panicked and said sorry to her like a thousand times. while she said "it's okay, i'm glad someone in your school (because some of us transfers here at my new school too) remembers my birthday, maybe all of them already forget me" she answered (which i'm touched). and the last, never ever betray your BFF. like i said at the start, they are like your family and will do anything for you to be happy. so keep their trust too. and that's all from me, hope it's helpful. love ya [s:sm3/1jw1]

I don't know you and I'm not exactly sure how you act, but being friendly is definitely the way to go. Don't change yourself for ANYBODY. Especially someone who you don't need to impress. Speaking of impressing, don't try, do. If you are telling a story and that happens to impress them than that's great! But don't go out of your way to try to make yourself look awesome because I'm sure you already are. Be yourself. But the most important thug now you can do is not try to make a million friends. Because personally I would rather have one AWESOME friend than a million ok friends. I hope this helped. :)
