Gossip Girl: Season 5, Episode 18 :: Con Heir

Apr 03, 2012

This week on Gossip Girl (Season 5, Episode 18), William and Lily’s scheme falls to pieces when Serena catches wind. Read Kidzworld’s recap of “Con Heir,” which aired on April 2, 2012, to discover what you missed.

The Botched Plan

William and Lily design a plan to cheat Ivy Dickens out of the inheritance money they believe the van der Woodsen’s deserve. If they can catch Ivy in the act of giving William some of the inheritance money, her jig is up. Unfortunately, Charlie overhears Ivy and William talking and tells Nate, who in turn tells Serena. And Serena, taking over Gossip Girl’s position, sends out a blast before Ivy gives him the money. However, the fact that Charlie witnessed them talking about it may stand up as proof in court.

The Blood Donor

Jack Bass saved Chuck’s life the night of the accident by donating his blood. Now Chuck plans to name the new hospital wing after Jack. But when Chuck discovers that Jack has hepatitis C, and Chuck doesn’t, he knows it wasn’t his uncle’s blood that saved his life. He’s protecting someone, and Chuck suspects he knows who.

The First Encounter

Blair and Dan try to find enough privacy for their first intimate encounter. They wind up booking a hotel room, but the “encounter” winds up a bust on both sides. Reluctant to face the truth, both get drunk separately before heading to Ivy Dickens’ party. Blair and Dan meet each other on the way in and decide to give it a second try in the elevator. Fortunately, their second “encounter” is far better than the first.

Gossip Girl Fashion

While her party may have been an expensive bust, Ivy still managed to look stylish in her Vera Wang lavender lace sleeve dress worth $495, which she paired with Zara jeweled slingbacks.
