Drake is just his stage name, his full name is Aubrey Drake Graham.
Born October 24, 1986.
Drake’s dad is an African American from Memphis, Tennessee while his mom is a Jewish Canadian.
He was born and raised in Toronto, Canada.
In 2001 Drake began his acting career playing the wheelchair-bound former basketball star Jimmy Brooks on Degrassi: The Next Generation, a Canadian TV show about students at a high school.
He released his first mixtape Room for Improvement in 2006.
In 2007 Drake was the first unsigned Canadian rapper to have a music video featured as BET’s “Joint of the Day” with his first single “Replacement Girl” featuring his friend R&B crooner Trey Songz!
When Lil Wayne heard a mixtape of Drake’s he immediately flew him out to Houston to go on tour with the Young Money Crew, but didn’t sign him right away
According to the Billboard charts in 2010 Drake sold the most records for any hip hop artist in one week.
His First EP So Far Gone peaked at number 6 on the Billboard Chart
He’s featured in fellow Canadian hip hop artist K’naan’s “Waving Flag” as part of Young Artists for Haiti.

Drake’s video for "HYFR" recreates his Bar Mitzvah - a spiritual and community-based Jewish rite of passage signaling that a boy has passed into adulthood involving a party for friends and family. In fact he calls it a re-Bar Mitzvah!"I have some of my mother's friends, some of my friends," he said to the camera, gesturing toward Birdman and Khaled, who were seated in the Miami synagogue. "Stunna Man and Khaled had to come and show their support. I learned my Torah portions; they had to come hear me read it." said Drake.
There are recent rumors that he’s been spotted out and about romancing former supermodel Tyra Banks. The two were seen spending the day together at an amusement park in California.

It’s rumored that Drake took offense to a rhyme in “Sweet” from fellow rapper Common and retaliated with a verse on the Rick Ross track “Stay Schemin’”.
