America's Next Top Model British Invasion: Cycle 18, Episode 13 :: Season Finale

May 31, 2012

This week on America's Next Top Model British Invasion (Cycle 18, Episode 13), UK contestant Sophie and US contestant Laura compete for the title of America’s Next Top Model. Read Kidzworld’s recap of the “Season Finale,” which aired on May 30, 2012, to discover what you missed.

Panic Attack

On the Cycle 18 finale, Laura and Sophie battled it out for the final time. At their CoverGirl photo shoot and commercial, Laura had a panic attack and wound up in the hospital. More than anything, she felt embarrassed, having never experienced a panic attack before. As a result, Laura was forced to film her commercial at the Top Model house after returning from the hospital the next day.

Vogue Italia

Next, the girls shot their Vogue Italia spread, in which, unlike the CoverGirl shoot, Laura had the upper hand. This put the girls on an even playing field as far as the photographer was concerned.

Fighting Holograms

Then came their runway show, which was unlike any runway show in Top Model history. While modeling clothes for Forever 21, the girls had to walk in sync and fight with holographic images. As always, Sophie’s walk was stronger, but Laura’s wasn’t as noticeably off as it has been in the past.

And The Winner Is...

At panel, the judges had a tough decision to make. Obviously both girls showed promise as models, but it wasn’t really a surprise when they declared Sophie the winner. It seemed unlikely that they would bother having a season titled “British Invasion” and not give the prize to a Brit. Not to say that Sophie didn’t deserve it. Both she and Laura are fantastic models and it could have gone either way.

Do U Like Last Season's Winner, Nicole?

  • Yeah, she's the best ANTM winner so far.
  • She's alright, but I like Naima and Eva the Diva better.
  • I can't stand Nicole.
  • I like all ANTM winners equally.

I am tied for nick and disney. I like nick for the fact that it had some good shows like Fairly Oddparents. disney had good shows that brings back good memories but it now has stupid shows with screaming children and overall loud voices, in a bad way.

It depends. I prefer the older shows on Disney and Nick. Most shows that are on Disney and Nick today are stupid in my opinion, If I would watch anything it would be Spongebob and the older shows on Nick and Disney. I can't decide.
