Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Game Cheats: Prefects and Bookcase

I need help on Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Hermione told me to get a book, Hogwarts: A History, and so I did in the restricted area and now there is a big bookshelf and I can't kill it. So plzzzzzzz help me.

Heya Hermione2003,
That bookcase in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets stumps everyone! What you have to do is knock it back with your Flipendo spell. Once it gets knocked back far enough, it'll fall over and you've won. The problem is, it keeps knocking you down and moving forward so it's really hard to knock back. In order to avoid being knocked down by the books it shoots at you, target the bookcase with the R1 button. This lets you dodge to the left and right with the direction pad and the X button. When you dodge, you can avoid the books that get fired at you!

The problem is I'm in the middle of the night with no beans or stinkbombs. How am I supposed to sneak past the Prefects to Flipendo everything to find more beans? To make things clearer, Hermione asked me to come see something. I followed her. She said Neville got stuck inside something. She asked me to get some spell. Then she told me to find a book in the Library that will tell me how to pull out some critters to get in a Greenhouse, and that's where I am. Here I will give you a list of questions:
1) How do you get past Prefects without balloons or stinkbombs?
2) Where in the Library is the book?
3) What Greenhouse is the spell in?
4) How do you find the book in the place it's in?

Hey Zack,
Right, the thing about the Prefects is that they aren't everywhere. There are places you can go inside of Hogwarts where you won't find any Prefects so you can blast stuff. Hang out in the staircase and zap statues, wander into classrooms and hit desks, even zapping pots and cauldrons gives you beans. Actually, if you leave the Gryffindor painting and head right, you can crawl under the bookcase into the tunnels inside of Hogwarts and find all kinds of stuff, including beans.

Once you have about 20 beans you can buy stinkbombs or balloons from Fred & George's hidden shop.

Once you have the stinkbombs, it's time to sneak into the library. What worked for me was heading left once I got into the reading room with the Prefects. Then I'd watch the patterns of the Prefects and sneak forward, one bookcase at a time. If a Prefect got close I'd stinkbomb them and run like heck!

When you get into the library, read all the books you can find, it's not that hard to find the one you're after. Just remember to dodge the flying books and the stupid ghosts (they make you drop your beans, grr...)

Once you have the book, you need to sneak into the third greenhouse. It's the one with the moving plants inside - you can't miss it. But there's a secret entrance at the back you have to use. Flipendo and pull the plants out of your way and crawl in.

Another pc cheat for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is "harrydebugmodeon". It will let you select your level if you go to the main menu and click on levels. You will know if it works because it will say debug at the top of your screen. to turn it off press f7.

Thank you! This helped a lot and now I know Skurge! It's awesome. Well, thanks again and I'll tell you when I beat it... Oh ya and I know a way to get a lot of beans in no time! This is how you do it: After your first Quidditch practice Wood will give you a broom stick. Get on it and fly around the grounds. You will see rings, fly through them, they're color coded! This is how it goes - yellow=1 bean, red=2 beans, green=5 beans, and blue is 10 BEANS! Thats all the colors I've seen so far. This is a good way to get 100, or more, beans and its fun too!
