Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Game Cheats: Hogwarts: A History

That's right, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets isn't just a hit movie, it's also a wicked series of games for the Playstation 2, Gamecube, Xbox, Game Boy and PC. The Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets games let you take control of Harry Potter and head to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for second year classes. If you're playing the Playstation 2 or Gamecube version of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets then you're playing the same game. There are a few minor differences between the games but nothing serious unless you're playing the Xbox or PC game. The good news is that these Harry Potter game cheats and hints work on both PS2 and Gamecube console games!

I am trapped in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for the Playstation 2. Hermione asked me to go to the library and find Hogwarts: A History in the restricted section of the library. I need help finding the restricted section. If possible, post a screenshot of the area.

You aren't the only one who needs a few hints or a walkthrough to find the restricted section of the library in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets!

There's a trick to finding the restricted section of the library. What you have to do is get to the second floor of Hogwarts and find the door to the Library Reading Room. Get your stink bombs and balloons ready and save your game right there because there are Prefects in the Reading Room.

When you enter the Reading Room it's time to sneak past the Prefects. Straight ahead you can see the doors to the library - DON'T TAKE THAT DOOR! The trick to getting into the restricted section of the library is that you have to take the doorway to the Library Annex. The door you want isn't the library door - it's on the same side of the room, but it's to the right of the library door.

You have to sneak across the room, then head to the right - there's a second alcove with a door in it. Once you get through that door you'll be in the restricted section. In there you can find a copy of Hogwarts: A History, duel Crabbe and Goyle and you'll also be able to learn Skurge - a spell that gets rid of clumps of green stuff even faster than picking your nose!
