Lyn-Z Adams-Hawkins Biography

Lyn-Z Adams-Hawkins is only 18 years old and she's already considered to be one of the top female skateboarders in the world. This cool skateboarding chick has already proven that she has what it takes to score big air and even bigger sponsors on her way to the top.

Lyn-Z Adams-Hawkins - In The Beginning There Was Surf

Lyn-Z started surfing in her hometown of Encinatas, California when she was only six years old. She took to it like a fish to water. She started skateboarding soon after and she was tearing it up at her first All Girl Skate Jam by the time she was 10. When she's not rippin' it up with some of the world's best skateboarders, she snowboards, plays soccer and takes time for her first love - surfing. Is there nothing this girl can't do?

Lyn-Z Adams-Hawkins - Big Time Wins

Lyn-Z came in first place in the amateur level at the 2001 and 2002 All Girl Skate Jam in New York. She also took on the pros at the 2002 Slam City Jam in Vancouver, Canada where she came in 5th in the Street competition and 4th in Vert among the girls. Plus she's won tons more competitions against guys and girls all over the US. Lyn-Z missed a lot of 2005 and 2006 due to injuries.

    Cheerleaders might just "hype up the team", but it still deserves to be called a sport. They're throwing each other in the air, performing possibly dangerous stunts, not even mentioning that they have to wear those skimpy outfits in freezing weather.

    Not always. For the most part, cheerleaders just hype up their team. If they do, it's just for fun.
