Hoobastank: The Reason CD Review

If you haven't heard of Hoobastank yet, you've been living in a cave. This rockin' foursome brought you Crawling in the Dark and Running Away and now they're pumping out more hard-hitting hits with their latest album, The Reason.
Hoobastank - The Sweet Smell of Success
Once again, Hoobastank proves that they
know how to rock - hard. The Reason has the same heavy feel as their self-titled album but Hoobastank's full,
nu-metal sound has matured. This album has the heavy hitting sound of
the 80s with a little
pop-punk polish. The song Just One has "
radio-friendly" written all over it - expect to hear it non-stop on your local radio station this year.
Hoobastank - Hoobastinks
There's not a lot that sucks about The Reason. The sound of the album
isn't very different from Hoobastank's
previous efforts. If you like your rock consistent, maybe that's not a
bad thing, but if you were looking for Hoobastank to
break new ground, this isn't the album for you.
Hoobastank - The Bottom Line
Hoobastank are the
go-to guys for modern, melodic
hard rock. If you're tired of pop-punk that's
more pop than anything else, you need to check out The Reason. This album has an
honest, authentic feel, which is a rare commodity in an era of manufactured
rock stars.
