1Hey Coach,
Who do you think is a better all around baseball player, Alex Rodriguez or Derek Jeter?

Hey baseballbratt,
Great question - especially now that A-Rod has decided to join George Steinbrenner and the rest of the New York Yankees' evil empire. If you believe that more is better, than Alex Rodriguez is the better player. A-Rod makes a whopping $25.2 million a year, while Jeter only receives around $16 million a season to play baseball. Alex Rodriguez also hits more homers and drives in more runs than Jeter. If you believe in winning, then Derek Jeter wins this debate easily. Jeter has helped the Yankees win four World Series titles and was the Series' MVP in 2000. While Rodriguez may be able to buy more sports cars and a bigger house, he's spent most of his career on losing teams, including his past three season with the last-place Texas Rangers.

I think the overall edge goes to Alex Rodriguez. He's a better hitter, a slightly better fielder and has more speed on the bases. If Derek Jeter wasn't the Yankees captain, Alex Rodriguez would undoubtedly be playing shortstop instead of switching to third base. With a team filled with superstars in New York, A-Rod should help the Yankees win yet another World Series title and prove that he can be a winner. But if the Yanks fail to win it all, A-Rod will be the first player to get the blame, and the wrath of George Steinbrenner.

Do you have a question on sports like hockey, football or skateboarding? Do you need some advice on fitness, P.E. class or health? to the Kidzworld Coach. Keep in mind peeps, the Kidzworld Coach isn't a doctor or a professional athlete or anything like that. He's just a dude who digs sports, plays 'em and knows a lot about 'em. You should always talk to your 'rents, a doctor or your school gym teacher before starting a new sport or a new exercise.
