Carve Xbox Snowboarding Video Game Review
Courtesy of Global Star SoftwareOkay gang,
spring has sprung and
summer is on it's way, so are all you
aquatic gearheads ready for the latest offering from
Xbox? This one is called
Carve, and if you're into
water sports, this one will soak you to the bone and flip you and your jet ski all around! Catch
the wave and tune in to our review of
Xbox's Carve.
Xbox's Carve: Making Waves
Okay, first things first, if you're looking for
a story then you best keep looking, because
Carve is nothing but a
hardcore water racer, with multiple teams and tournaments filled with tricks, splashes, rushes and flips. In Carve you get to play as one of
eight different characters (two per team, each with their own specialities, everything from tricks to
busting heads), on over five different
race tracks.
Xbox's Carve: Hang Ten!
Carve is a game that is built for a few things:
super-cool tricks, Xbox Live and a bucket load of
fun. The trick factor in Carve is awesome, and that's what makes it so much
fun to play. When you're
racing and start using
tricks you'll discover that the combos are huge, all of which give you a higher score and an added speed boost called
Rush, (which'll come in handy on the straight away). Carve has a lot of other
cool things going for it,
the water looks great and
the teams are varied enough that you can play around, plus the controls are super-simple. As far as
Xbox Live goes, can you imagine the fun of
racing against eight of your pals? That's serious fun.
Xbox's Carve: Wipe Out!
For all its fun,
Xbox's Carve can get pretty boring if you aren't an
online player. The one player tournament and
trick tutorial can only take you so far. Plus, once you get the hang of how all the courses work, you'll be wanting some head-to-head challenges. As well, Carve doesn't let you
create your own
player or
team which is a bummer.
Carve Age Rating: Everyone.
Xbox's Carve: Hits
Tricks.
Tag team play.
Xbox's Carve: Misses
If You're not online, you're out of luck.
Techno soundtrack isn't fun.
Xbox's Carve: Final Stunt
Xbox's Carve is a great game, but the deep end is a little shallow.
Xbox's Carve Game Rating:
