November 4, 2004

Working on this play is turning out to be a lot harder than I thought. I was so excited about designing the sets and making this play look super cool, but I forgot about all the work! Sawing and nailing and painting for hours can really take a lot out of you.

Luckily, I've met this really cool girl while working on the play. It's fun to have Kaelin around, but he wants to work with his friends a lot of the time. Her name is Anna and she just moved here this fall. She's into a lot of the same music as me, and she has her tongue pierced! My mom would flip if I ever did that. The bellybutton thing almost got me grounded for life.

Anna's been so helpful with everything. She used to act in the productions at her old school, but this year she's decided to help out behind the scenes. Says it's too stressful to get up in front of all those people night after night. I totally know what she means! There is no way I could get up and act in front of a crowd. I'd probably die of stage fright.

Okay, so who else was glued to the tube this past Tuesday? If I knew how exciting politics could be I might have paid more attention before now. It was a super close vote and I didn't even find out George Bush won until the next day. I was too tired to stay up all night and watch people count votes.

Well, that's it for me. I'm exhausted and just need to chill in front of the TV. The O.C. returns tonight - should be good!

Peace Out,

Sindy

Did You Watch Election Results On TV?

    • Yes - I was glued to the tube all night.
    • I watched for a few minutes.
    • No way. I'd rather watch reruns of Friends.
    • Election?

talk to the person you're closest too. yes, you said you don't get close with people, but there's probably one person who you speak to more often than others- talk to that person.

Don't worry too much- it's only your first relationship- but I'd sit down with him at one point, and discuss what makes you uncomfortable, eg; if you know what I mean...

Probably sound a little stereotypical, but the majority of boys don't really act like that... Ask him :p

First: WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T KILL YOUSELF! When you get past this you'll be glad. Well, this is just my opinion, but I think you should first find someone, anyone, even if you don't trust them, if there're your parents talk to them about it. I bet a bunch of people have already told you this but there're right. Before you walk up to them, write down what you're going to say and then think of a few questions they might ask and write down the answers to them. Remember to tell them that it might take you a minute to think of an answer. Before you answer, think of the exact words you will say  before you say anything, and think in your mind about it. Think about wether it is a lie or not before you say it. If it gets out of you mouth before you realize it is a lie, don't be afraid to say so and just say the truth. Also, just try to find something you like to do that will take your mind off everything. If you really can't think of anything, try just practicing saying your feelings to yourself, or a pillow or something.  Hope this helps!
