Vs. System: Marvel Card Game Web of Spider-Man Set Review
Courtesy of Upper DeckThe
Web of Spider-Man expansion set for the
Marvel Trading Card Game has dropped and brought with it a ton of
cool new cards for you to play with. In case you didn't already know, the
Marvel TCG is part of the
Vs. System from
Upper Deck and can be combined with the
DC Trading Card Game to give you more comic-book mayhem. But, what does this expansion bring to the game? Check it out.
What's New For You in the Web of Spider-Man Expansion?
First off, there are tons of new
comic-book characters for you to control. Lots of 'em are Spider-Man's buddies, but there are a ton of
X-Men and
Fantastic Four cards as well, plus a lot of cool new
Sentinel cards. There are also plenty of cards with
Boost and there's a new power -
Evasion lets characters recover for free at the end of each turn.
Web of Spider-Man Super-Weaknesses?
There's nothing about this set that totally sucks. There are a lot of
X-Men and Sentinel cards in it, which is kinda wacky for a
Spider-Man set, but they're still rock-solid cards so it's no biggie.
Super-Summary for Web of Spider-Man Expansion
Packed full of Spidey's
friends, enemies and comic-book neighbors, you can't go wrong with this set. Especially with
Venom and
Carnage running around!
Web of Spider-Man Thumbs Up:
Venom and Carnage!
Awesome new Sentinel cards.
Evasion is great for keeping characters alive.
Web of Spider-Man Thumbs Down:
Too many non-Spidey cards.
Web of Spider-Man Rating:
