LEGO Star Wars: TIE Fighter

This 159-piece LEGO Star Wars kit is straight from the original trilogy of Star Wars movies, rather than the new Episode III: Revenge of the Sith movie. The kit includes a TIE Fighter, one of the evil Empire's starfighters, and Darth Vader, Lord of the Sith, with a Lightsaber that glows red when you press on his head. It sounds cool but there are two problems. The one big problem with this kit is that when Darth Vader's way-cool glowing Lightsaber runs out of power - you can't replace the battery! Um, lame? Other Star Wars LEGO kits from the new Episode III movie will be out later this year.

LEGO Star Wars TIE Fighter Thumbs Up:

  • Darth Vader's Lightsaber glows red!
  • The TIE Fighter falls apart easily - just like in the movies.
  • The TIE Fighter gets fixed easily too.
  • LEGO Star Wars TIE Fighter Thumbs Down:

  • You can't replace Darth Vader's Lightsaber battery!
  • LEGO Star Wars TIE Fighter Rating:
    Age: 7 and up.
