Scarlett got an early jump on her acting career by appearing in movies by the time she was just 10. She made appearances in flicks like If Lucy Fell, starring Sarah Jessica Parker and her big break came when she landed a lead role in The Horse Whisperer.

When she was 16, she starred alongside Thora Birch in the dark comedy, Ghost World - which led her to one of her biggest roles yet. In 2003, Scarlett scored a lead role in the Sophia Coppola flick, Lost in Translation. The movie won several awards and saw Scarlett being nominated for many awards as well. But, Scarlett doesn't limit her acting to artsy flicks - she's also appeared in The Perfect Score, Eight-Legged Freaks, In Good Company opposite Topher Grace and The Island with Ewan McGregor. In 2006, Scarlett Johansson is set to appear in a couple new films, Scoop and The Black Dahlia.
