Fantastic Four DVD Review

A group of scientists get super powers after being exposed to radiation in outer space in the super hero movie, Fantastic Four. Find out if this flick is truly fantastic or just another doomed comic book remake.

Fantastic Four - Fantastic Powers

After being exposed to cosmic radiation while on a mission into space, four astronauts and a power-hungry scientist return to earth to find their DNA has been permanently altered and they each possess unique superpowers. Reed Richards AKA Mr. Fantastic (played by Ioan Gruffudd) has the power to stretch his body into any shape imaginable. Sue Storm AKA Invisible Woman (Jessica Alba) projects forcefields and can become invisible - as long as she's not wearing any clothes. Johnny Storm (Chris Evans) AKA Human Torch can fly and has the power to spontaneously combust. And Ben Grimm AKA The Thing (Michael Chiklis) has changed into a hulk-like freak with super-human strength. While the newly formed Fantastic Four adjust to their new powers, Victor Van Doom AKA Dr. Doom (Julian McMahon) sets out to destroy them all, so he alone can become the planet's dominant super hero.

Fantastic Four - Fantastic Eye Candy

Most of Fantastic Four revolves around the different ways in which these four new super heroes adjust to the fame and responsibility of being super heroes with totally cool powers. The mind-blowing special effects used to bring these superpowers to life are the best part of Fantastic Four. If you're not a big fan of CGI and special effects (and who isn't?), you'll definitely be drooling at the on screen eye candy of Jessica Alba, especially in that tight blue Fantastic Four suit. She even looks hot when she's invisible! There's also some sweet motocross and snowboarding action scenes, so there's something to keep everyone's eyes glued to the screen.

Fantastic Four - DVD Features

It's rare for the main cast of a movie to take part in many of the DVD features, but when you purchase The Fantastic Four DVD, you're going to hear a lot from this fantastic team of superheroes. Join Jessica Alba, Ioan Fuffudd, Chris Evans, and Michael Chiklis in a behind-the-scenes home video. You'll also catch deleted scenes and several music videos from the flick!

Fantastic Four - The Bottom Line

Fantastic Four has everything a cool super hero blockbuster should have - heroes with awesome powers, an evil villain, wicked special effects and a hot girl. If you're a big fan of the comic book, you may be disappointed by some of the major differences between the original comic and the movie. But if you can put those differences aside, Fantastic Four is truly one fantastic flick.
