The Epic Dragons of Hyperchaos expansion set for the Duel Masters Card Game is out on October 21, 2005! It's packed full of dragons and has two Theme Decks that kick butt right out of the box and have a ton of cards you can use to build an awesome dragon deck. We review them both, right here!

Duel Masters: Rise of the Dragonoids Deck Review

This deck is all about the Fire Civilization and tearing your opponent apart with fast attacks. It's decent, but it only has a few cheap creatures, then there's a big gap before you can start playing your big dragons. Without any Blockers, this Duel Masters deck has trouble staying around long enough to unleash its hordes of dragons. It has a bunch of great cards for dragon decks though, just add two or three cost Light Civilization Blockers for defense and you're all set.

Rise of the Dragonoids Thumbs Up:

Lots of dragon power-up cards.

Great attack power.

Rise of the Dragonoids Thumbs Down:

No defense.

Weak in the mid-game.

Duel Masters: Merciless Pummeling Deck Review

This deck is a mix of Nature and Darkness Civilizations. It has Blockers to defend itself, cards to boost its Mana and tons of huge dragons. This deck is seriously cool! There are a few cards you can tweak to power it up but it can already stomp all over the Rise of the Dragonoids deck so it barely needs 'em. If you're going to grab a Theme Deck, this is the one to get!

Merciless Pummeling Thumbs Up:

A great mix of attack and defense.

Powerful dragons.

Cards to bring your dragons back from the graveyard.

Lots of mana cards so you can summon huge dragons.

Could use more dragon cards.
