Seaworld: Shamu's Deep Sea Adventures Game Review
Courtesy of ActivisionJust when you thought Seaworld was all peaceful and stuff, the evil Kraken teams up with Poseidon to wreck it and steal all the magic! It's up to you to help Shamu, the killer whale, save the day in this new game for the Gamecube, Playstation 2, and Xbox. Here's our review of the aquatic action.
Action and Adventure with Shamu and You
Shamu's adventures put you in control of Shamu the
killer whale and it's up to you to
collect items, battle enemies, learn
new moves and
solve puzzles. It's really easy to move Shamu around, even though it's a
3D game, cuz all the action is 2D and really simple. You'll spend your time rescuing Shamu's
friends, running from the mighty Kraken and collecting
power-ups.
Saving the Day with Shamu!
The best part about this game is that
Shamu looks great and moves smoothly. It's really easy to swim through the levels and there are always
tips on where to go next so you won't get lost.
Villains and Problems with Shamu's Deep Sea Adventures
The biggest problem is that Shamu really is
too big! Shamu takes up so much space that you run into things before you know they're there. It's easy to get lost in the levels because they're so
colorful and there's so much going on. This game is also
seriously easy, you can finish all
20 levels in a day if you have solid gaming skills.
Deep Sea Disaster or Adventure?
Shamu's adventures aren't great, but they're
easy to play and
non-violent (your attacks just stun bad guys) so it's fun for younger kids. Although, it's weird that Shamu powers up by eating
krill cuz killer whales eat
fish, not krill.
Seaworld: Shamu's Deep Sea Adventures Thumbs Up:
Shamu looks great!
Really easy to play.
Seaworld: Shamu's Deep Sea Adventures Thumbs Down:
The levels are so colorful they're confusing.
Shamu is too big to control easily.
Killer whales don't eat krill...
Easy to finish.
