1996 - The Game Boy PocketIn '96, Nintendo lightened the load for Game Boy fans by releasing the smaller, lighter Game Boy Pocket. It also upgraded the black and white screen to make it crisper, cleaner and easier to see.
1998 - The Game Boy ColorThe first serious upgrade to the Game Boy came with the Game Boy Color. Not only was it a more powerful gaming system, it was smaller, lighter and the games were in color!
