Quiz the coach helps teen and tweens with sports and fitness related issues and problems like obesity, soccer tips and drills, skateboard tricks and P.E. dilemnas.

So you dig sports but need some help with your game? Don't understand some of the rules of football, basketball or hockey? Got a gripe about P.E. class, skateboarders, cheerleading, coaches, or anything? Why not ?

1Hey Coach,
My dad signed me up for soccer camp this summer so now I have to play soccer for three hours every day for the next two weeks. I don't even really like soccer that much and I want to just hang out with my friends this summer. But my dad won't listen to me and says I have to go. What should I do?

Hey rampchamp54,
One of the annoying realities of the parent-kid relationship is that parents make kids do things they don't want to do all the time - including going to summer camps dedicated to activities their kids don't particulary enjoy. Your dad may have signed you up for camp because he wants to see you get some exercise, would like to see you become more interested in sports or he could have mistakenly thought you really liked soccer. Whatever his reasons are, the camp is only for a small part of your summer and you should still have lots of time to chill with your friends. Sports camps can be a great place for meeting new people and you'll probably end up having some fun, even if soccer isn't your favorite sport.

So, don't report your dad to child welfare yet. He could be "making you" do a lot of much worse things other than going to summer camp. He could be making you cut the grass with a pair of scissors for three hours a day or he could be forcing you to write an essay on the history of knitting in the state of Deleware. Your evil dad is just making you go to soccer camp. Go to the camp with a good attitude, make some new friends, score some goals and look forward to the rest of your summer.

Do you need tips or advice on sports, fitness or health? to the Kidzworld Coach. Keep in mind peeps, the Kidzworld Coach isn't a doctor or a professional athlete or anything like that. He's just a dude who digs sports, plays 'em and knows a lot about 'em. You should always talk to your 'rents, a doctor or your school gym teacher before starting a new sport or a new exercise.
