When an intergalactic experiment gone-wrong escapes from Galactic Police custody, a hilarious Disney adventure ensues. Get the rundown on this animated flick that'll be airing on the Disney Channel June 23, 2006!

Lilo & Stitch - Intergalactic Incident

On a planet far, far away, an evil mad scientist named Dr. Jumba Jookiba, has created a monster designed to be nothing but destructive. When the mad scientist is caught for his illegal creation, the experiment known as #626 escapes and is now headed for Earth! The Grand Council of the Galactic Federation quickly jumps into action, determined to re-capture #626 before he can cause any serious damage. But, something happens that no one could have predicted. A young girl from Hawaii, Lilo, finds #626 and takes him in as her new pet dog, who she names Stitch.

Lilo & Stitch - An Unlikely Friendship

While Stitch was created to destroy anything and everything in his path, a big flaw in his genetic make-up makes it impossible for Stitch to do too much damage - he can't swim and he's trapped on the island of Hawaii. So, when Lilo adopts him as her pet, a strange bond is created and the two become inseparable. Lilo is faced with being taken away from her big sister (who has been raising her since their parents died) by social workers and Stitch is being tracked by the Galactic Federation. Somehow this alienated duo finds a way to help each other with their problems and become a family unlike any other.

Lilo & Stitch - DVD Features

One of the coolest features on the Lilo & Stitch DVD is the DisneyPedia: Hawaii feature, which is narrated by Lilo and Nani. They share lots of fun facts on the culture and traditions of Hawaii and some things about the geographical make-up of the island. You will also get to play a game called Build an Alien and watch some music videos for songs featured in the film.

Lilo & Stitch - Bottom Line

If you're a Disney fan, you'll love Lilo & Stitch. The unlikely bond that is forged between a crazy blue alien and a lonely little girl is both heart-warming and inspirational. The best part is that you can catch this great Disney flick on the Disney Channel on June 23, 2006! So grab the 'rents, your sibs and maybe even a few friends for a night of Disney fun.

“Instruction in world history in the so-called high schools is even today in a very sorry condition. Few teachers understand that the study of history can never be to learn historical dates and events by heart and recite them by rote; that what matters is not whether the child knows exactly when this battle or that was fought, when a general was born, or even when a monarch (usually a very insignificant one) came into the crown of his forefathers. No, by the living God, this is very unimportant. To 'learn' history means to seek and find the forces which are the causes leading to those effects which we subsequently perceive as historical events.”
