If you grab the full version of the Cars video game you get a ton of racing action and you can race as a bunch of different cars from the movie. But, if you want to check it out without dropping $$$ on it, you can hit the race tracks as Lightning McQueen for a spin around one track with the demo.

Downloading Disney/Pixar's Cars Racing Game Demo

Va-va-vroom! To get Lightning McQueen all revved up and ready for some high-speed racing, all you have to do is follow these step-by-step instructions. They'll help you download the game demo for Mac or PC.

1. Click Here to race on over to Disney/Pixar's official Cars video game page.

2. Chill while the page loads, then hit the "Download the Demo" link on the right side of the page.

3. You'll hop over to the Download page with two links for you to check out. If you're on a Mac, hit the "Click here to download Cars Demo.dmg (137MB)" link. If you're on a PC hit the "Click here to download setup.exe (136MB)" link.

4. As soon as you click the link, you'll get a popup, choose to save the file to your Desktop so it'll be easy to find later.

5 This is the slowest part of the whole demo - the download! The files are 136 MB so it will take a few minutes. Check out the latest movie, game and sports info at Kidzworld while you wait!

6. After the game demo has downloaded, double-click it to start installing it.

7. Once the Cars game demo has installed, double-click it and buckle-up for racing mayhem!
