Add a fantasy castle to your battles in the HeroScape board game! Here’s our review of this new set.

It's time to get medieval with the Fortress of the Archkyrie set for the HeroScape board game! This set lets you design and build a fantasy castle and battle for control of it. You get a ton of pieces for the castle and can build all sorts of different designs with it. If you buy more sets, they're easy to combine into even bigger castles. Unfortunately, it's fiddly work because of all the small pieces so get ready to spend a chunk of time building your fortress. Finished castles look great though, and they're really sturdy so you don't need to freak if your dog wants to play with it. If you dig HeroScape and have the patience to build a fortress, this set is awesome!

HeroScape: Fortress of the Archkyrie Thumbs Up:

  • Lots of castle-building pieces.
  • Finished castles are sturdy!
  • HeroScape: Fortress of the Archkyrie Thumbs Down:

  • It takes a long time to build the castles.
  • HeroScape: Fortress of the Archkyrie Rating: 4

Yeah the gameplay can get kinds stale. For the first two nights just keep the door closed all night and the power will go out 2 seconds before 6 am. I don't really have a strategy for the 3-7 nights.

The gameplay does tend to get a little stale after a while. The camera itself is virtually useless unless you just want to see the layout of the restaurant. The only time it's helpful is when you watch foxy. If you don't check him regularly, he'll come at you. If you manage to close your door in time he'll bang on it, draining more and more power each time. Other than that, the camera is basically useless...
