Seth Green Biography

Birth date: February 8, 1974

Seth Green's Start

Seth Green was born in Philadelphia and raised in the suburbs. Seth Green grew up with his sister Kaela, his father Herb who's a math teacher, and his mother Barbara who's an artist. Seth Green got his start in the acting biz at a very young age. His uncle, a casting director, had the connections to get Seth Green parts in TV productions along with numerous commercials by the time he was six years old. In 1984, Seth Green got a taste of things to come when he appeared in his first film, The Hotel New Hampshire.

Seth Green becomes Daniel Osbourne

Seth Green caught his big break when he landed the role of Daniel "Oz" Osbourne on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. OZ was most known for his dry sense of humor and his complete lack of emotion. No matter what demon the Scooby Gang faced, or what threat of world destruction, Oz remained cool and aloof. When Oz was written out of Buffy, Seth Green fans were worried they wouldn't see him again. Boy, were they wrong!

Seth Green Gets Evil

Seth Green jumped right into a successful film career after Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Some of Seth Green's most memorable film appearances include Kenny in Can't Hardly Wait costarring Jennifer Love Hewitt and a cheesy boyband member in the 2001 flick, Josie and the Pussycats. Of course, you can't mention Seth Green without mentioning his biggest and best film role - Scott Evil, Dr.Evil's son, in the Austin Powers movies. Seth Green will appear in the upcoming Scooby Doo 2.

Many of the reviews and critics say it's bad because they are only looking at it from 'comic to movie' perspective. It was still a really cool movie and you should go see it. I'd have to agree with this. The movie itself was great. I think some people looked at it poorly because they were expecting something more similar to the older films or comparing it too hard to the comics. I personally think that it was a great way to reinvent some of the characters.

When I was a child, Peter Pan was a big one for me. And, Shaggy from Scooby-doo for some reason.

"It's so hard to talk when you want to k-ll yourself. That's above and beyond everything else, and it's not a mental complaint-it's a physical thing, like it's physically hard to open your mouth and make the words come out. They don't come out smooth and in conjunction with your brain the way normal people's words do; they come out in chunks as if from a crushed-ice dispenser; you stumble on them as they gather behind your lower lip. So you just keep quiet.” Ned Vizzini, "It's Kind of a Funny Story"

“Isn't there something in living dangerously?' There's a great deal in it,' the Controller replied. 'Men and women must have their adrenals stimulated from time to time.' What?' questioned the Savage, uncomprehending. It's one of the conditions of perfect health. That's why we've made the V.P.S. treatments compulsory.' V.P.S.?' Violent Passion Surrogate. Regularly once a month. We flood the whole system with adrenin. It's the complete physiological equivalent of fear and rage. All the tonic effects of murdering Desdemona and being murdered by Othello, without any of the inconvenience.' But I like the inconveniences.' We don't,' said the Controller. 'We prefer to do things comfortably.' But I don't want comfort. I want God, I want poetry, I want real danger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want sin.' In fact,' said Mustapha Mond, 'you're claiming the right to be unhappy. Not to mention the right to grow old and ugly and impotent; the right to have ######## and cancer, the right to have too little to eat; the right to be lousy; the right to live in constant apprehension of what may happen tomorrow; the right to catch typhoid; the right to be tortured by unspeakable pains of every kind.' There was a long silence. I claim them all,' said the Savage at last. Mustapha Mond shrugged his shoulders. 'You're welcome,' he said.”
