Bella Sara Card Game :: Northern Lights Set Review

The horse-collecting world of Bella Sara expands with the Northern Lights expansion! Here’s the scoop.

Bella Sara is a collectible card game that's all about collecting horses and playing with them online! It comes in five-card booster packs with a horse, a positive message and a web-code on each card. From its start in far-flung Scandinavia, Bella Sara has exploded and now there's another expansion full of new cards - Northern Lights! Here's the 411 on it with Gary's card game review.

Opening the Stables

With 55 new cards, this set is full of norse and celtic horses. The celtic ones are pretty normal, but the norse ones are warrior horses, complete with armor and weapons for the riders! There are also a lot of item cards that aren't horse-grooming gear, they're decorations for your online stable like garden gnomes, lamps and more.

Sparkly New Stuff

The norse horses are great, especially for boys who have been interested in Bella Sara but want some more action-hero horses. The items are terrific too because you can decorate your stable once you unlock them.

Way Too Cold

The biggest bummer in this set is that the game idea cards are gone from each pack! This leaves new players kinda stumped on what to do with the cards, other than collect them and use the codes that is.

Jewels or Junk?

Not only do the item cards let you style up your stable, the warrior horses are a cool way to get boys playing Bella Sara! With the game idea cards gone in this set, it's a bummer for new players. But people who already play Bella Sara will find lots of great new cards in this set.
