There are hundreds of Pokemon in each of these video games and it takes a Master Pokemon Trainer to catch them all. Unless you have a game cheat that will help you to catch every Pokemon! Here's the info you need, straight from Cheat Street, to catch any Pokemon, even rare ones like Rayquaza, Kyogre and Groudon!

Video Game Cheats for Catching Any Pokemon!

These cheats only work once you know where the Pokemon is, so if you can't find it you're still stuck. But, once you're battling it, these tricks work on any Pokemon from any of the Pokemon games.
  • Only use Ultra Balls, they're the best except for the Master Ball.
  • Damage the Pokemon until its health bar is in the red. The more damaged it is, the easier it is to capture, but don't knock it out!
  • Hit the Pokemon with as many Special Conditions as you can. This includes Asleep, Burned, Confused and Poisoned.
  • Have a Pokemon on your team that can resist the other Pokemon's attacks. This way it won't knock out your Pokemon and you can throw lots of Pokeballs at it.
  • Game Cheat - Pokemon Conditions Tutorial

Using Pokemon Conditions in battle is tricky unless you know what you're doing, so here's some info on the conditions and how to use them.
  • Burned: Fire attacks inflict this. It makes the Burned Pokemon take damage each turn.
  • Poisoned: Poison and Leaf attacks can cause this condition. It makes the Poisoned Pokemon take damage each turn. And, if one of your Pokemon gets Poisoned, it takes damage each time you take a step outside of battle.
  • Asleep: This condition is hard to cause, but it makes the Pokemon sit still and snooze, even if you hit it!
  • Confused: Psychic attacks are good at causing this condition. The Confused Pokemon might damage itself when it tries to attack you.
  • When you head out to capture a Pokemon, make sure you have Pokemon that can cause these conditions. Swap out your Pokemon in the battle with the Pokemon you want to catch, and attack it with the powers that cause these conditions. Start with Asleep so it won't fight back while you give it other conditions!

Pokemon Battling Cheat - Strength and Weakness

One cheat that's incredibly useful for Pokemon Trainers is that certain types of Pokemon are strong or weak against other kinds. So, if you know what type of Pokemon you are trying to capture, you can battle it with a Pokemon that it is weak against.
