Get the 411 on the Pokemon Colosseum video game for the Nintendo Gamecube video game console!

The last time the collectible Pokemon critters showed up in 3D for some serious battling it was in Pokemon Stadium 2 on the Nintendo 64. Now they've been unleashed on the Nintendo Gamecube with Pokemon Colosseum for you to collect and battle with! How does the Pokemon battle action rate? Read on for Gary's video game review!

Pokemon Colosseum Game and Trainer Basics

It's all about dueling of course, but Pokemon Colosseum has some cool features. Like the ability to steal Pokemon and collect twisted "Shadow Pokemon" to use in battle, and purify. Plus, if you have Pokemon Ruby or Sapphire - you can import your Pokemon into Pokemon Colosseum by using a GBA as a controller.

Pokemon Colosseum Game Fantastic Features

The 3D graphics for Pokemon Colosseum look sweet and bring the Pokemon battles to life. The coolest feature though is the ability to snag Pokemon from other trainers - so if some goof has your fave Pokemon you can grab it from them. This is the first time it's been possible to do this and it's great! Once you get bored with the game missions, you can also invite friends over and duel like crazy with the multiplayer mode.

Pokemon Colosseum Game Is Weak Against...

Snagging Pokemon is awesome, which is good cuz it's the only way to collect more Pokemon! Unlike every other Pokemon game ever, there aren't any wild Pokemon to catch, which is weak. The other big problem is that Pokemon Colosseum is a pretty short game, especially for a Pokemon video game and you'll run out of single-player fun pretty quickly.

The Final Word on Pokemon Colosseum

If you're new to Pokemon, this game is a weak intro because it's way different from all the rest. Hardcore players will get a kick out of it, but it's barely long enough. If you're collecting all the Pokemon video games, have fun, otherwise rent it and see if you dig the action first.

Pokemon Colosseum Age Rating: Everyone.

  • Whoa... hella short.

    Pokemon Colosseum Game Rating: 3
