Buffy isn't really dead. Okay she is - but that doesn't mean that Sarah Michelle Gellar won't be back on Buffy the Vampire Slayer next fall. Creator Joss Whedon has assured fans that Sarah will be back - as Buffy. Joss said that this plotline was in the works since the beginning of the season and has nothing to do with Sarah mouthing off about not wanting to leave the WB. Buffy the Vampire Slayer will be on the UPN Network next season and everybody knows Sarah said she wouldn't leave the WB. Later, she took back the comment. It'll be interesting to see how they bring back the Buffster.
The 2001 MTV Movie Awards were filmed on Saturday, June 2. The winners were simliar to the Oscars - in other words lots of Gladiator mixed in with a little Erin Brokovich and Crouching Tiger. Other winners include Tom Cruise for Mission Impossible II. Cruise showed up a little late. Word is he did so to avoid the opening welcome given, via satellite, by his soon-to-be ex-wife Nicole Kidman. Tom knew that if he was in the audience during the welcome, all cameras would be pointed at him looking for a reaction. So Tom showed up late and left shortly after accepting his award. For more dirt on the MTV Awards, check out the Mint on Friday. We'll have an indepth review.
