Well my hair is brown again - though a slightly different shade than it was before the whole "Blue Hair Fiasco of 2007." My mom let me go to a Halloween party, but shortened my curfew by an hour as a "compromise." I think the only thing that's being compromised is my social life.
Although I didn't get to stay as long as I'd like, this year's Halloween party was pretty great. I met a girl! Her name is Emily and she's amazing. The only problem? She has a boyfriend - but she did say she was willing to hang out "as friends." I'm not looking to break anyone up, but I don't have a problem waiting in the wings until they break up on their own.
It's amazing how it's only days after Halloween, but there are already Christmas decorations up everywhere. I even caught myself humming Jingle Bells in the shower this morning. Ugh! It's way too early for this stuff. If only there were Thanksgiving songs I could hum instead!
Anyway, I'm trying to think of something interesting to say, but all I can think is "Emily, Emily, Emily, Emily." Obsessed much? I think so. Do you think I'm wasting my time being friends with her when I actually want to be her boyfriend? I mean, she's got to break up with this guy sometime, right? What's the best way to play this?
