Get the scoop on the newest NEO Shifter to join the battle between the Paladins and the Templars, Split :: Shifter.

The latest toys from MEGA Bloks, the NEO Shifters are transforming alien robots from Hydraxx-Tor and Skandar. The good guy Paladins and HTS-infected bad guy Templars are on their way to Earth to battle for water, which is the source of their power. The NEO Shifters are two-part robots - a small NEO and a big Shifter that the NEO controls like a mech. Both can transform into rolling balls but the big Shifters also have light-up faces and cool launching weapons. Once they're built, NEO Shifters are awesome toys that pose really well and have terrific gripping hands. Plus, they're identical except for different colors so you can mix and match parts to make all kinds of freaky combos.

Split :: Shifter

With the newest NEO Shifter set, Split :: Shifter, you can actually make five different robots. The Tank-Walker is a huge robot with a pod-like body, one drill arm, a spinning disc launcher, and a laser orb. The Robo-Attack Drone looks like a robotic scorpion complete with a missile launcher and spinning, slicing blades on its multiple claws. The Robo-Attack Drone can also be configured to stand upright in its Dual Split Mode. If these Shifters aren’t enough for you, the Tank-Walker and Robo-Attack Drone can also be built into two new NEO Shifters to join the battle for water, Strakk :: Tor and Thon:: Dar.

Thumbs Up:

  • Super cool looking and they move really well.
  • Sturdy and easily posable in robot form. Don't play soccer with the ball form though.
  • Cheap – around $20 for five different configurations!
  • The light-up faces are even cooler with the mask off.
  • The launching missiles and flying discs can shoot really far!
  • Thumbs Down:

  • A bit hard to build for younger, less patient builders.
  • Sometimes the weapons are a little too heavy for the arms to stay posed.
  • You can only find the instructions to build Strakk :: Tor and Thon:: Dar on-line.
  • Rating: 4
    Age: 6 and up.
