A midnight breakout from Gotham City's famous Arkham Asylum floods the city with crazy villains and Batman needs your help to catch them all! LEGO Batman for the Wii puts you in control of the famous caped crusader plus his sidekick Robin, and challenges you with dozens of levels, puzzles and more. Is this another awesome LEGO video game like LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Indiana Jones? Find out with our game review!
Comic Book Heroes Gone Bricky
If you've played the other
LEGO games you can skip this part. If you're new to the games, they're action games that transform a ton of classic
comic book heroes and
villains into
LEGO characters. You control them, bashing, jumping, puzzle-solving and using their powers in a world made of
LEGO bricks. As you play,
friends can join the fun anytime by snagging another controller. Each level is full of
LEGO studs you can collect and spend to
unlock more characters and power-ups.
Bricktastic!
It's
fantastic! The action is basic so it's super
easy to play. The multiplayer lets more people jump in anytime and, even if you do die, you just get back up again!
Puzzles and lots of different abilities spice up the battles and
boss fights. You can also drive a bunch of
different vehicles as you play. Finally, being able to play as the
villains and use their powers is a lot of fun!
Batman + Funny = Not Funny
Batman isn't funny. He just isn't. Even when he's made of
LEGO, he's grumpy. Everybody else acts like a
clown and there are a ton of jokes that'll make you chuckle as you play. But Batman. Isn't. Funny.
To The Batcave!
This game is great. With lots of characters, lots of levels, and tons of different ways to keep on playing to
unlock more stuff/ it's just awesome.
LEGO Batman isn't the best of the
LEGO games, but it's still a lot of fun and a great way for gamers of any age to play as their favorite
heroes and
villains!
Thumbs Up:
Packed with comic book heroes and villains!
Play good guys or bad guys (or girls!)
Lots of goofy LEGO power-ups.
Easy for anybody to play.
Friends can join the game any time!
Thumbs Down:
Batman + goofy LEGO = not that funny.
Some awkward controls.
