Survive on a deserted island, explore ruins and solve a mystery with your pet at your side in this new Wii game! We review it.

Chillin' on a luxury yacht, Aidan and his pet monkey Hobo are living the high life when an accident tosses them overboard and leaves them stuck on a tiny little island. Food and survival become top priority as you explore the island, meet Lucy and her dog Max and more. Along the way ancient ruins and a volcano are uncovered, mysterious castaways show up and more. Is joining Aidan and Lucy on this adventure fun? Find out with our game review of Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked for Wii.

Island Life

With Aidan and Lucy stuck on an island, it's up to you to keep them healthy by finding food and water to keep their hunger and thirst bars full. Foraging for fruit and berries, hunting, fishing and even digging for clams are the way to go. And, there are games for each kind of food you can collect - plus more games for cooking them! You can also go exploring the island, uncovering cool sights and more as you go.

Sand, Surf and Sun

From exploring the tropical island's wonders to playing two-player games with your friends and just chilling while you fish, there are a lot of fun things in this game. It also gives you a big island to explore, mysteries to solve and a lot to do - Aidan and Lucy can even get sick from poisonous mushrooms! And, so many of the survival mini-games are so realistic that it almost feels like you could make it on a deserted island for real.

Eat! eAt! eaT! EAT!

Aidan and Lucy are the hungriest people in the world. They need so much food and water that, even though it's easy to get, you'll spend most of your time collecting food and filling their bottomless bellies. Seriously, each one of them can eat a dozen coconuts and still be hungry! There are lots of little food gathering/cooking games to make it more interesting, but it would be nice to have time to explore the island and do other things.

Tropical Paradise or Island Hellhole?

Mini-games, cute pets, a partner to explore the island with, mysteries and a lot of really cool island adventure makes this game a lot of fun. Unfortunately, having to spend so much time finding food means you barely have time to do anything! Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked is a great adventure, if you have the patience to feed two hungry, hungry castaways.

Thumbs Up:

  • Mini-games for everything you do make the adventure feel real.
  • A cute pet monkey and dog!
  • An island to explore.
  • Some very realistic survival hazards. Psst... That means DON'T EAT THE MUSHROOMS!
  • It's pretty cheap - only $30!

  • Thumbs Down:

  • You spend a ton of time finding food because Aidan and Lucy eat a LOT.
  • Some more background music would have helped.
  • Seriously, it's insane how much these two eat!

  • Game Rating: 4

    The Best Island Pet?

    • A monkey would be awesome.
    • I'd want a pet dog.
    • A pet polar bear would rule!
    • A pet parrot would be the best!

I like both. I find Magic to be a more complicated version of Yu-Gi-Oh and I find a Yo-Gi-Oh a less complicated version of Magic.
