Mini Ninjas: The Code Of The Forest
Mini Ninjas: The Code Of The Forest launches today (September 8, 2009) for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PC and DS.
According to Eidos, maker of the new Mini Ninjas game, an evil Samurai warlord uses the ancient art of Kuji Magic to twist innocent little forest critters into mindless Samurai warriors to do his bidding. After creating an army of these soldiers, the evil warlord sends them to terrorize the surrounding countryside. As the ninja, your main aim is to defeat the evil warlord and restore peace and harmony back to the forest and the animals’ world.
The Forest & Your Quest
The forest is the home of the animals. They should not be caged, or taken to the forgotten wilderness fortresses. These fortresses should remain forgotten. The animal does not forget; the ninja that frees a rabbit, frog, bear, fox, or other animal from enchantment will have forever earned the respect of the forest.
The Tengu, a race of bird-like ancient beings, are the caretakers of the ancient holy places. The Mini Ninjas dojo master has an alliance with the Tengu, who will therefore offer guidance to those ninjas that seek them out. Their skills of medicine and alchemy make the search for these elusive creatures a worthwhile endeavor.
Earthquakes, storms, volcanoes – beware dangerous weather; it can indicate an upset in the balance of nature.
Ancient Kuji magic is too desirable and dangerous to be trusted to mortals. The ninja that can control the power of Kuji magic is very rare. Tampering with Kuji magic is forbidden. It upsets the harmony of nature, causing great tornadoes, earthquakes, lightening, storms, floods – until the very world itself rips apart. These wrongs must be put right.
The rivers and streams of the forest can be shallow and calm, or deep and rapid. Ninjas are best served crossing waters using their ninjas hats as boats, rather than swimming. An ordinary weed may be a powerful potion ingredient. The trees may hold health restoring fruit. Ancient scrolls and collectibles may be hidden in long forgotten shrines and temples. The forest holds many secrets.
The Fox can walk silently. The Frog can squeeze into tiny places. The Wild Boar can charge. Each animal of the forest is powerful, in their own right.
