American Idol Recap :: Thursday March 25
This week’s elimination was super important—the 10 contestants who made it through will be touring the country this summer! Find out who’s the unlucky Idol who didn’t make the cut!
Miley Cyrus showed up as a guest mentor for the wannabe Idols. She showed them how it’s done by rocking her performance of “When I Look At You.” Also on hand were newly-admitted lovebirds, Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato who treated the crowd to a duet. Ryan Seacrest couldn’t resist making a joke about their onstage chemistry!
Andrew Garcia butchered “I Heard It Through the Grapevine” and should’ve landed himself in the bottom three, but he was saved by a loyal fanbase.
Word is that Siobhan Manus’ fanbase has started dressing like zombies and calling themselves “Siozombies.” No joke!
Katie Stevens made a good song choice with Fergie’s “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” but that’s just about the nicest thing you can say about her performance. The judges were disappointed overall with the contestants song selection this week. They had a lot to choose from with the wide-open “Billboard #1 hits” theme. The contestants chose too many old songs! Katie was the only contestant who chose a recent song.
Tim Urban’s stale cover of “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” (and his embarrassing slide across the stage) led to his second straight week in the bottom two. How long can his good looks keep him in the competition?!

Paige Miles covered “Against All Odds” by Phil Collins, but the judges said it was one of the worst performances in Idol history! Simon wouldn’t even let her compete for the judges’ save. “it’s the end,” he told her.
Stay tuned next week when the Top 10 get mentored by Usher in R&B soul week. What do you think of this week's performances? Should Paige have gone home?
